For storage purposes, you can stow away your first player token and the 4 player hit point dials.

For playing purposes, this piece transforms into your villain’s play area. You can have the the villain card displayed vertically, the main scheme displayed horizontally, and up to four attachments/status affects staggered vertically on the left. There’s also a slot to fit up to four acceleration tokens in the front.

This feature makes it much more tidy to see what’s going on when you’re battling the villain… And saves you some space on the table!
