We all know Bomb Busters to be a delightfully explosive gaming experience… but there is some room for improvement on the organizational and functional side of the equation!
And this 3D printed board game insert is designed to remedy exactly that. (There’s two versions, too!)
1. Full Insert with Cable Holder Upgrade: This version of the insert includes everything you need to store all of the content in Bomb Busters. You’ll do away with the tuck boxes, and store everything in labeled card trays. (60 micron sleeved cards are supported. We used Sleeve Kings.) This insert will also include a cable holder upgrade to replace the suboptimal ones the game comes with. These are far more rigid than what comes in the game, and has specific slots for each cable so it’s easy for all the players to identify, and they don’t get shuffled around or knocked over so easily.
2. Half Insert with Cable Holder Upgrade: This version of the insert is nearly identical to option 1, with the exception that this one is designed for those of you who want to keep your tuck boxes. This will come with all the other components you need for storage, and the cable holder upgrade as well. 60 micron sleeved cards are still supported with this insert as well. (See Image 9 for an example of what this version looks like.)

Some friends and I recently played Bomb Busters for the first time and my first thought was “this game is awesome,” followed by “these wire trays leave something to be desired!” I did a lot of searching on Etsy for replacement trays, but many were either sold out, would be unreasonably expensive with international shipping, or just weren’t a design I liked. These fit the bill and came with a whole clever insert to boot — no more piles of plastic baggies, and wires will be easy to dump out so they’re all upside down for sorting.
I appreciated the option for the half insert, because I didn’t want to get rid of the card boxes with the cute artwork and still get all the other great organization. I can’t wait to get this game to the table again now!

Well designed organizer that fits perfectly into the original box. The wire holders are a big upgrade from the ones that came with game! I do wish they held the wires slightly more upright but they work well
